I wish I could give this watch 5 stars but I can't. I've had this watch for three months now and I really like it except for two little annoyances.PROS: Beautiful appearance, tough crystal (if anyone can scratch a crystal, it's me), keeps good time, I like the day of the week & day of the month dials, nice large display for older eyes, nice sweep second hand, very solid metal bracelet, easy to set with two position stem.CONS: The luminescence is very weak. Hold it close to a bright light & it will shine brightly for maybe 30 minutes, then return to a very dull light level. The stem is not nearly tight enough. It's not really loose, but it pops too easily. I have no idea how it manages to pop, but I have experienced this problem a few times in the three months I've had the watch. The result of this is the watch stops for whatever length of time until I either notice the incorrect time or I manage to re-seat the stem & then it runs behind (usually 15-20 min). This doesn't happen often enough to abandon the watch, but frequently enough to be annoying (as in once a month). This is one of those things that may just be associated with me as the user & not a problem anyone else would encounter.UPDATE 12/27/11: Initially I wanted to like this watch because it was very attractive. After reading the reviews on here, I was a bit hesitant about buying this watch. I have had other Casio thermometer watches in the past, and was able to calibrate them to the accurate temperature while on my wrist. Despite all the reviews complaining about the inaccuracy of the temp, THIS WATCH IS NO DIFFERENT. All that needs to be done is to get a temp reading with another thermometer, and then program this watch according to the instruction booklet. That's it. It's reading temperature very accurately as I type. Yes, the instruction booklet is complicated (the PDF version from Casio.com is MUCH easier to follow), but it is worth it!

Let me start by saying I have four different Armitron watches. They make a good quality watch (especially for the money). This one is my least favorite. I bought it for boating because it is water-proof, plastic, and appeared durable. My biggest complaint is it is a little difficult to read. It has a black background and time is displayed in white. In the sunshine, it is hard to read. Other than that, it appears to be an o.k. watch.

I really love this watch and it came in very quickly after my order date. I quickly tore off the packaging so I could take my new watch for a run around the neighborhood. I strapped it to my wrist and smiled in how lovely it looked and then I realized the battery was dead. I opened the backing so I could find a replacement battery at WalMart but the backing of the watch is very different from normal sports watches so, to be sure I didn't pull anything I wasn't supposed to, I had to pay the premium to get a battery specialist to replace the battery. It wasn't expensive but it was a pain in the butt. But now that the watch is turned on, I really like it and I use it frequently.

I would actually give it 3.5 stars. Sadly, as with all white things, it's very pretty at first, but gets dirty pretty fast. I've had this watch for a couple months, and granted it's been through several down and dirty adventures involving dirt and ocean water, but the entire band is yellowed and dirty. The plastic immediately around the watch face is not, so you can see the contrast. However, it is a pretty watch and works perfectly fine as a watch.

got this watch on sale at sears for around 25$ i needed an alarm but hate the all digital watches and couldn't afford an all analog watch with alarm and chrono so i got this. casio makes way more analog/digital combo watches that any other maker. this watch is fantastic, large buttons, simple digital functions, you got the time on top then month,day and day of week on bottom. then alarm, stopwatch and a second timezone if you need that on bottom instead of the date..illuminator blue light lights up analog and digital display.. if i could change one thing i would give this watch a glass crystal because after a while you get scratches because its a plastic face. But all you need is to buff it with 'white paste style toothpaste' and it looks brand new again. Some people might have trouble reading the digital display, its not very big.

I'm a woman, but this watch becomes me well. The deep blue face with the silver casing and band make for a pleasant color combination. The numbers are generously visible, and the hands as well as the dot above the twelve glow in the dark, though faintly. To be honest, the extra dials make me feel steam-punkish. I like it.I used to own a watch with a metal band that pinched the hair on my wrist. This band does not do that. If you want to adjust the band, you'll need to take this watch to a local repair shop; I doubt you will have a small enough punch to do it yourself.

The watch's LCD display with graphics and delay features gives you many important features at the palm of your hand. Other features include a dual alarm, chronograph, split timer, countdown time and 8-lap memory.
I like this watch very much because it has both analog and digital features. The watch proves to be very accurate and reliable. The extreme thickness of the case is my only objection.

Watch is a great looking item, unfortunately because of the color of the face and hands, it's hard to see what time it is. Also, the hands usually cover the digital read out, so it's tough to see the time that way too...but it is a nice looking watch.

Work out in comfort with the Armitron(r) women's digital sport watch. It features alarm and chrono functions, as well as backlit time, day, and date displays.
Bought this for my daughter who is on a competative swim team. She loves the watch and was able to set it herself! Seems to be withstanding the water fine.

Most folks would shy away from purchasing an Armitron watch, simply because of the name and it's association with "less than sophisticated" watches. Well Armitron has definitely made huge strides in designing robust watches that can take brutal day-to-day wear, while still maintaining a strong look. This is one of those watches. No question you get bang-for-your-buck on this one. Very sturdy rubber strap, surprisingly large face, and excellent finish. The "N" and "S" on the face has absolutely no function, and is solely cosmetic as this watch does not come with any compass features (as you'd expect for the price). But if you're looking for a bulky watch that's got a strong look to it, and doesn't appear "cheap", consider this model.

Armitron was my first brand of sport watch and now the only brand I will wear. My previous Armitron watch lasted 5 years and finally gave out after uncountable trips including hiking, rock climbing, scuba diving, surfing, swimming, running, etc. I like the size of the face, easy to see while working out. On this style the buttons are easier to work. LOVE THIS WATCH!!

I ordered my watch along with 2 others two days ago and they showed up today in perfect condition but this one in particular is my favorite. It's super stylish and easy to use. It quite a number of features with i primarily don't care about. It fit on my wrist perfectly and has a beautiful face. the text isn't the greatest but it is great. also the red accent gives it a nice finish. Overall i would recommend it to my friends or someone interested in buying it. It is a really great gift and Amazon shipped it super fast and it arrived on time.

Stylish watch that looks much pricier than it actually is. I am a triathlete and wanted a watch that was dressy but that I could keep on for training. Had to download guide online as there was no guide in the box. Was appalled to find the watch face scratches fairly easily, especially given my workout routines. Discovered however that all I needed to get rid of scratches was to put a little toothpaste on cotton wool and rub out the scratches!! Went through 6 Timex Ironman watches in one year before switching to this one. Quite pleased.
